This week, I’m highlighting your favorite posts from the second half of RomanceEscapes’ first year, June-November 2025. I picked the most popular posts based on the number of views, but also engagement, and how many new subscribers found me through them.
Not quite a formula, and some months were so close, but I still chose only one.
But before that, please help RomanceEscapes be more interesting and engaging to you by filling out the survey:
Now here they are: Months June–November.
What surprised me most about the second half of the year was how wildly different your favorite posts were.
Two of them were book reviews for massively popular titles, no shock there. But one of the top posts was a review of a much less-known book, and another was a list of 10 past reviews of romance hidden gems.
And then there were the unexpected ones: a post about my pre-order campaign, and another where I answered a challenge I’d been tagged in, something far more personal than I usually am in the public sphere. Somehow, those vulnerable moments became some of the most-read posts of the year. It reminded me that this space isn’t just about the books we love, it’s also about the conversations, the curiosity, and the connection we build along the way.
Let’s recap.

If you made it this far, writing a trilogy as an indie author takes time and resources.
Paid subscriptions help fund editing, cover art, audiobook production, and everything that allows Humans Don’t Have Horns and its sequels to exist outside my brain.
I share my entire development process of Book Two: writing updates, worldbuilding breakdowns, and the messy, honest progress that doesn’t make it into public posts. If you’ve ever wanted to know how a romantasy series is built from the ground up, that’s where you’ll find it.
