Let me introduce you to the story that made me an author – Humans Don’t Have Horns.
If you haven’t read it yet, Humans Don’t Have Horns is available at KU, audio, and more.
If you’ve read Humans Don’t Have Horns, please leave a review. It truly changes my entire ability to grow.
December is always a time to reflect. It’s the end of the civil year, and this time, my blog’s first birthday.
One year ago, I hit “publish” on my very first romance review with zero expectations. I didn’t know if anyone would read it, if anyone would care.
And then you showed up.
Month after month, post after post, you read with me, you supported my indie author journey, and poured so much love into my debut romantasy, Humans Don’t Have Horns.
To celebrate, this week and next week, I’m sharing my Most Popular Posts of the Year, one post for each month. I picked them based on the number of views, but also engagement, and how many new subscribers found me through them.
Not quite a formula, and some months were so close, but I still chose only one.
So here they are: Months December–May.
Five of the six were book reviews you adored, but interestingly, the books’ popularity varies enormously, from best sellers to hidden gems. The other post is about a taboo topic in romantasy that I chose to face in Humans Don’t Have horns, which has been the most personal post I’ve written so far on my blog, and I’m grateful it received your love.
Let’s recap.
📚 December
❄️ January
❤️ February
🔥 March
⚡ April
👑 May
✨ Coming next week: Months June–November
If you made it this far, writing a trilogy as an indie author takes time and resources.
Paid subscriptions help fund editing, cover art, audiobook production, and everything that allows Humans Don’t Have Horns and its sequels to exist outside my brain.
I share my entire development process of Book Two: writing updates, worldbuilding breakdowns, and the messy, honest progress that doesn’t make it into public posts. If you’ve ever wanted to know how a romantasy series is built from the ground up, that’s where you’ll find it.
