Loved Humans Don’t Have Horns? Here’s how you can help it reach the readers who need it most :
-
Leave a review on Goodreads — it makes a real difference
-
Request it at your local library — it’s free for you and opens the door for new readers
Haven’t read Humans Don’t Have Horns yet? It’s available on KU, in paperback, and the audiobook is widely available across major platforms. All links in my Linktree.
Honestly, I’m kind of blown away that you are here with me in my indie journey.
As my Substack keeps growing, I wanted to do a little update on the subscription tiers and what you actually get from each one.
Free Subscribers
Free subscribers get:
✦ Digital ARC opportunities for my books – This is exclusive to subscribers.
✦ All my romance and romantasy reviews
For example, my most-read review:
✦ Romantasy discussions, trope breakdowns, and my bookish opinions.
For example, my most-read romatasy discussion:
✦ Practical indie publishing and marketing tips based on my own experience as an indie author
For example, my most-read Practical Indie Recs post:
If you love books, romantasy discourse, and watching someone slowly lose their mind while publishing a trilogy, this tier is already pretty packed.
Paid Subscribers — $5 Monthly / $30 Yearly
The paid tier is for readers who want deeper behind-the-scenes access and spoilers.
For example, my most-read rant about writing:
You can subscribe monthly for $5, or yearly for $30 (which gives you 50% discount compared to paying monthly).
Paid subscribers get:
✦ Monthly behind-the-scenes updates on my writing process
✦ Spoilers and early discussions about the trilogy
✦ Exclusive updates from the editing and drafting trenches
✦ A direct way to support me as an indie author
Right now, this is especially fun because I’m currently deep in edits for the second book in the trilogy, A Crown of Blood and Magic, while also already writing the third and final book.
A lot of the behind-the-scenes content includes spoilers, which is why those posts stay behind the paywall. Honestly, I know that level of detail is not for everyone, but for readers who love digging into the process, it’s probably my favorite thing to share.
Romantasy Patron Tier
This is the tier I’m the most excited about.
Last year, some subscribers received printed ARC copies of Humans Don’t Have Horns, and I loved doing it so much that this year I’m fully committing to expanding it. Subscribers in this tier will receive the full influencer campaign experience for the second book of A Crown of Blood and Magic — including:
✦ A signed ARC copy
✦ The same influencer box was sent out for the campaign, including exclusive surprises and merch items
I’m still finalizing what exactly will go into the boxes because I’m still editing the book (indie publishing is glamorous like that), but I already have ideas I’m really excited about.
Read more about the influencer campaign I run:
Finally, genuinely, thank you.
Supporting indie authors directly makes a massive difference, and every subscription helps me continue writing this trilogy.
Some of the links I share will be affiliate links. I’ll still only recommend books I genuinely loved (honest reviews, always). If you buy through one of my links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
