Loved Humans Don’t Have Horns? Here’s how you can help it reach the readers who need it most :
-
Leave a review on Goodreads — it makes a real difference
-
Request it at your local library — it’s free for you and opens the door for new readers
Haven’t read Humans Don’t Have Horns yet? It’s available on KU, in paperback, and the audiobook is widely available across major platforms. All links in my Linktree.
I’m still between two books right now, very much hoping, and honestly praying, that the editing for book two will be finished by mid-June. It’s looking tight. I won’t lie.
Since my last post on my writing process, I’ve received all my beta readers’ comments and finished all the necessary changes. I ended up making quite a few changes, including adding two entirely new chapters from already existing POVs.
The feedback process this time around was genuinely brilliant. I think the book is much clearer, easier to follow, and emotionally stronger because of it.
One of the hardest things about writing is that everything makes perfect sense in your own head because you created it. Then someone else reads it, and suddenly you realize what was obvious to you was actually confusing on the page. Beta readers are invaluable for that.
I had beta readers for Humans Don’t Have Horns, but I think I approached the process more deeply this time, and I’m really happy with the results. I’m already fully planning to drag these poor people back for book three beta reading.
Another major development regarding book two: I finally came up with a title.
So far, absolutely nobody seems to like it. Every beta reader and friend I asked has looked at me with concern, but I’m sticking with it because it’s coherent with Humans Don’t Have Horns. Once I reveal it, I think the connection will make sense. I’ll probably announce the title together with the cover reveal, which is still in progress.
I’m still very determined to hit the August release date and keep my promise of a summer release. It’s going to be close, but at least this time I’m not renovating my entire house at the same time, so we’re already doing better than last launch.
As for book three: progress is happening, although slower than I originally hoped, because book two edits have consumed most of my brainpower lately.
Spoiler territory onward.
